Hello and welcome! As the founder of this technical training institute, I am thrilled to be here today to share with you our mission to empower individuals for technological advancement, equipping individuals with relevant skills to enable them advance their careers in the tech industry. Our goal is to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving fields, and we are committed to staying ahead of the curve to ensure that our curriculum is always current and relevant.

TVET Institutions are an invaluable resource for providing technical and vocational skills to individuals, allowing them to develop the skills and competencies necessary to be successful in the modern workforce. TVET Institutions provide an excellent foundation for further education and career development, offering a diverse range of courses in various fields such as engineering, business, IT and more.

At Kenya Institute of Energy, we provide a practical approach to learning, allowing our students to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills needed to work in their chosen field. We also offer a variety of educational opportunities, ranging from short courses to apprenticeships and diplomas. We provide a platform for students to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become competent in their chosen field, and to become an asset to their communities.

Director's Statement

I am Eunice Wanjiku, founder member and the Director of Kenya Institute of Energy. I have always been passionate about education and helping others, which led me to not only pursue life and technical skills leading to the same. After completing my education, I worked as a General Manager for several years before moving into heading the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the organization. As Director of the Kenya Institute of Energy, I have worked hard to create an environment that fosters learning and encourages creativity. I am committed to providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.

One of my proudest achievements as Director was starting a program that provides free training to underprivileged students. This program has helped many students who would not have been able to afford vocational training otherwise, and has opened up new opportunities for them.

I have also worked to forge partnerships with local businesses and industries to ensure that our curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date. This has helped our students to be more competitive in the job market and has led to many successful careers.

In addition to my work as Director, I am also an active member of several professional organizations in the field of education and business. I regularly attend conferences and workshops to stay informed about the latest developments in vocational training.

Principal's Statement

My name is Charles Ngikito I am the Principal the Kenya Institute of Energy. I was born and raised in a small village in Turkana County, where I developed a love for learning and a passion for helping others.

After completing high school, I pursued a degree in Counselling Psychology from Northwestern University and worked as a Counsellor and teacher for several years before moving into administration. I quickly realized that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of my students on a larger scale, and transitioned to becoming the Principal.

As the Principal, I have worked tirelessly to create an environment that fosters learning and encourages creativity. I have implemented new programs and initiatives that have helped my students not only succeed academically, but also in their personal and professional lives.

One of my proudest accomplishments as Principal was starting a mentorship program that pairs students with professionals in their field of study. This program has helped our students gain invaluable experience and connect with potential employers, making them more competitive in the job market.

I have also worked closely with the faculty and staff to ensure that our school remains up-to- date with the latest technology and trends in our field. This has allowed us to provide our students with the best education possible and prepare them for the careers of tomorrow.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading books on education and attending conferences and workshops to stay informed about the latest developments in our field. I am passionate about education and believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.

As I reflect on my career as a Principal, I am proud of the contributions that I have made to our school and the lives of our students. I look forward to continuing to serve our community and help our students reach their full potential. Program Manager's Statement

Kenya Institute of Energy (KIE) is a dream come true for the residents of Lodwar Municipality! The KIE Main Campus having been strategically placed at Nataparkakono Village in Lodwar Municipality is in itself an answered prayer and a blessing at the same time to the locals there. Furthermore, the institution is bordering Loima Sub-County at that far end hence advantageous to those on that other side of the County.

Our courses are up-to-date and considerate to the ever consciously dynamic technological advancements in several spheres of social and economic environments. We have put measures in place to see to it that we act as per the emerging trends that come as a result of various advancements to fit the diverse tastes and preferences of our students.

Head of Department (Petroleum Geoscience) Statement

Meet Lois Nawar Lolim, a renowned petroleum geoscientist, petroleum explorer and a science enthusiast who majors in oil, gas and energy industry, she has a keen interest in exploration, analysis and marketing of hydrocarbons. Lois is tutor at the Kenya Institute of Energy. Born and raised in Lokichar, Madam Lois developed an early interest in geology and the earth sciences. She pursued her passion and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in petroleum Chemist from Kisii University.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Madam Lois worked as a volunteer in the oil and gas industry. She gained valuable experience in the field and developed a keen understanding of the petroleum geosciences. Her passion for teaching and research in the field of petroleum engineering is what drives her forward. As a petroleum geoscience tutor at Kenya institute of energy she aims to develop and improve students’ knowledge and skills in petroleum field. Tertiary rift basin being a potential accumulation of crude oil in Turkana country motivates her as a tutor to train and equip the student for petroleum sector human capacity.

Madam Lois is a dedicated educator and mentor, and has inspired many students to pursue careers in the oil and gas industry. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Kenyan Association of Petroleum Geologists. When she's not teaching or mentoring, Madam Lois enjoys hiking and exploring the great outdoors. She is passionate about environmental conservation and is an advocate for sustainable energy sources. She says “I remember back in 2012 when exploration in tertiary rift basin in Lokichar started, watching mostly men workers working in the company challenged me as pastoralists girl and it stirred a passion to be a petroleum engineer someday so that I will be able to work not only nationally but also internationally in petroleum field’’

Madam Lilian’s contributions to the field of petroleum geoscience are immeasurable. Her expertise and dedication have inspired countless students and professionals, and she continues to be a driving force in the institutions.

Petroleum Geoscience Tutor's Statement

Welcome to the department of petroleum Geoscience at Kenya Institute of Energy, Lodwar Campus. The global demand for hydrocarbons is huge with world consuming over 80 million barrels a day, a staggering 30 billion barrels a year. The petroleum geoscientists are key players in exploration for all these new potential hydrocarbons reserves and also drive to maximize recovery from those oil fields already discovered.

As a department, we organize in depth training with a clear outline of the general objectives to students so that they become global citizens and experts in petroleum fields.
