CURRICULUM ORIENTATION FIELD SERVICES (COFS)

The purpose of curriculum orientation is to equip educators with knowledge and skills to interpret and implement curriculum effectively. Orientation is the process of familiarizing teachers, teacher trainers, and field officers on a new or revised curriculum.

Responsibilities
The Deputy Director Curriculum Orientation and Field Services is in charge of all activities undertaken in the division.
The Senior Assistant Director (SAD) is in charge of initiating curriculum orientation and field services within the section. The Assistant Director (AD) is in charge of guiding COFS process within specific service area.
The chief of curriculum and field services is in charge of specific activities in the respective section.

Activities in COFS involve the following:
  • Editing orientation manual
  • Carry out the orientation
  • Write report
  • Dissemination of reports
  • Dissemination of curriculum support materials
  • Development of orientation radio scripts
  • Development of orientation programmes online
  • Conducting symposia where teachers, instructors, TAC tutors share ideas on curriculum implementation
