What is the primary role of The Kenya Institute of Education (KIE)?

The Kenya Institute of Education is the National Centre of Excellence in Kenya which specializes in Educational Research and Development of Curriculum. The institute also develops resources to support the curriculum.

Can I get my curriculum developed by KIE?

Yes,please contact KIE about curriculum development or any other reason.

Does KIE publish books?

The KIE publishes textbooks, manuals and other educational materials through its Print Division.

How is KIE funded?

The Kenya Institute of Education is funded through the government grants and support from its parent ministry. Also development partners support KIE through donations. In addition, KIE raises funds through income generating projects.

Is KIE a government institution or a Parastatal?

KIE is a state corporation, commonly referred to as a parastatal.
